The 4th Down Foundation has conferred the first-ever 2023 Dylan Scott Arnold Award to an athlete who has remarkably embodied the leadership qualities that Dylan was known for. This landmark recognition is particularly significant as it honors an individual who has undergone a profound transformation on the field. Initially a very quiet player, Caden Hicks has evolved into a vocal and inspiring leader.
This individual consistently demonstrates positivity, humility, accountability, and motivation; supports and inspires teammates; accepts constructive feedback; listens attentively; acknowledges errors and assumes responsibility; and is committed to ongoing personal growth as well as the development of those around him. Over the past season, Caden has continually displayed these attributes, serving as an exemplary model of effective leadership. We were honored to present the inaugural award to Holly Springs High School’s Caden Hicks.
