The 4th Down Foundation has awarded the 2024 Dylan Scott Arnold Award to an athlete who exemplifies the leadership qualities embodied by Dylan Scott Arnold. Sam Goode of Holly Springs High School, despite encountering significant personal adversity that initially resulted in a lack of maturity and respect for coaches and peers, has demonstrated remarkable transformation through dedication, discipline, and selfless commitment. Sam now consistently displays positivity, humility, accountability, and motivation; supports and inspires teammates; accepts constructive feedback; listens attentively; acknowledges mistakes and takes responsibility; and is devoted to continuous personal development as well as fostering growth in others. Throughout the past season, Sam has exemplified these attributes, serving as an outstanding model of effective leadership. We are honored to present this award to Sam Goode.
